Through the “Water as Habitat” programs and activities, learn how community members can become involved with COSEE Florida.”

COSEE Florida fosters communication and interactions among scientists, educators, and the public by the establishment of a state-wide network of scientists and educators to support the development of quality education products, promote the establishment of local educational outreach programs, and facilitate regional collaborations that enhance ocean science education and increase ocean literacy.

Water as Habitat Programs and activities include:

Science Cafés

Science cafés are live—and lively—events that take place in casual settings such as pubs and coffeehouses, are open to everyone, and feature an engaging conversation with a scientist about a particular topic. COSEE Florida is adopting this concept to reach Florida citizens and connect them with local marine researchers and important ocean topics.
